13+ trails I've hiked myself, a seasonal calendar that tells you when the falls are at their fullest, and where to eat after.
Know before you go
Stay on the trail and off the rocks at the top. Wet rock near falls is slick year-round, so stay behind railings and on marked paths.
Go after a good rain. Falls run strongest in spring and after storms. Late summer can be a trickle.
Budget for parking. Many of the best falls are in Georgia State Parks, which charge $10 per vehicle.

Most waterfalls in Georgia fall off a cliff. Raven Cliff Falls falls through one. Here's what the creekside hike near Helen is like, how long it takes, where to park and what to know before you go.
